About Me

About Me

For as long as I can remember I have had an interest in helping people, and the workings of the mind, but had not found a career that enabled me to use my interests and talents to the full. A chance conversation with a Psychodynamic Counsellor some years ago, led me to begin by studies. I commenced with a foundation course in psychotherapy, looking at all the different approaches to therapy and counselling, trying to work out which was for me. When a colleague peeled off towards the end of the course to commence a hypnotherapy career, I was intrigued. He recommended The Quest Institute as the best place to train in Cognitive Hypnotherapy. I completed my Diploma in Cognitive Hypnotherapy with them in 2009 and never looked back. I love my work – helping my clients to be better versions of themselves, and I’m also achieving more of what I want in my own life and am much more in touch with what makes me happy and fulfilled.

I run a friendly, relaxed and confidential therapy practice in Finchley, North London where you will find a warm, welcoming and professional service in line with the standards and Code of Ethics of the National Council for Hypnotherapy and the Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy Practitioners Association. I can also conduct sessions via Skype and Zoom, should you not be able to make the trip to Finchley, north London. Cognitive Hypnotherapy gets to the heart of the matter more effectively and quickly than other talking therapies, and clients appreciate my empathy with, and understanding of, many different issues. I really listen to you, in a non-judgemental way, knowing that every client is an individual with individual needs. I don’t use generic scripts or treatments as some more traditional hypnotherapists do: I create a completely bespoke treatment plan for each client. As a Cognitive Hypnotherapist I am trained in the use of WordweavingTM which means I adapt my hypnotic suggestions to suit each client, and this means I can help you achieve the changes you are seeking in the shortest space of time which is comfortable for you.

Not only did I train with Trevor Silvester of the internationally-acclaimed Quest Institute, I am also a Member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH). I hold the Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD) – the first nationally accredited hypnotherapy qualification – and, because I take great pride in my work, I regularly attend courses, workshops and seminars so that you can benefit from the latest techniques.

I set up Vikki Seaton Hypnotherapy locally, in Finchley, North London, to help people like you find peace, fulfilment and happiness in their lives by resolving issues that are troubling them, but I can also hold sessions via Skype or Zoom if you are unable to attend my consulting room. I know that you have the qualities you need in order to achieve the kind of life you want and I can help you realise this for yourself and improve your world, in just the way you want to.
